COVENANT (NEW)

The term “NEW COVENANT” in Scripture generally refers to the spiritual Kingdom of God and its rules and conditions as promised by God. It began in its infancy in 30ad with Christ’s first coming. It was fully established forever in Christ’s second coming Parousia ending in 70ad. It is based upon the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Christ. It is a promise from God that He will put His laws in the minds and heart of His people.

Everyone of His people (each and every Christian, true Jew by faith in Christ) under the NEW COVENANT knows the Lord. This is from the least to the greatest of them in His Spiritual Kingdom. God shows His mercy towards their transgression. He will remember their sins no more. This is not because they are in heaven, but because they are living on earth under His NEW COVENANT in His spiritual kingdom in which righteousness is established by God’s grace and mercy [loving kindness] (my adding).

“But now He (Christ) has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a BETTER COVENANT, which was established on BETTER PROMISES (Grace and faith, not actual sacrifices and ceremonies). For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them (physical nation of Israel), ‘Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will MAKE A NEW COVENANT with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL and with the house of Judah–Not according to the (Mosaic) covenant that I made WITH THEIR FAHTERS in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the LAND OF EGYPT; (but) because they did not continue in my (Mosaic) covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.” – Heb 8:6-9; Jer 31:31-32

The NEW COVENANT is a BETTER COVENANT for God’s people, who are known as “spiritual Israel, or true Israel” (born-again believing Jews and believing Gentiles). Under this NEW COVENANT, which was fully established in 70ad, and the Law of Moses was fulfilled by Christ and passed away. The Law has changed to His NEW COVENANT kingdom law and is sometimes called the Law of Christ. The Priesthood was changed from Levitical to the entire Body of Christ. There is a clean break from the Old Covenant to the NEW COVENANT because all has to be fulfilled by Christ – Matt 5:18. The Old is truly abolished ([fulfilled]and NEW was fully established in 70ad.

“For to this the (NEW) covenant that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL (spiritual believing Jesus and believing Gentiles, all called Christians) after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws IN THEIR MINDS and write them ON THEIR HEARTS; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY PEOPLE. None of them shall teach to his neighbor, and none his brother saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for ALL SHALL KNOW ME, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be MERCIFUL to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” In that He says,’ A NEW covenant”, He has made THE FIRST OBSOLETE. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is READY TO VANISH AWAY (in 70ad). – Heb 8:10-13; Jer 31:33-34

This is the NEW COVENANT that God makes with the house of Israel. Under the NEW COVENANT the term “house of Israel” does not mean the physical nation of Israel. Instead, it refers to His “TRUE JEW” (Christians) As the result of fulfilment the Jewish religious system by Christ. These are His special people, the people of God, a spiritual house and holy nation. – 1 Pet 2:9

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but CHOSEN BY GOD and precious, you (Christians) also as living stones, are being built up a SPIRITUAL HOUSE, a HOLY PRIESTHOOD, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.”- 1 Pet 2:9-10

All Christians under the NEW COVENANT have come to Mount Zion by faith and to the City of the Living God, the heavenly New Jerusalem (Positionally and covenantally now while alive on earth; but fully when they die in this life). The are in Christ by faith and make up the Church. Each and every Christian has their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. They have been made perfect in Christ, who is the Mediator of the NEW COVENANT for all His elect, born-again believers. – Heb 12:22-24; Rev 21:27

All Christians under the NEW COVENANT have their sins forgiven and atoned- for by Christ. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of His sacrifice for us and His establishment of the NEW COVENANT. We owe our salvation and eternal life to Jesus Christ. We shall never forget that. -Mat 26:27-28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; 1Cor 11:25

*I put in the word (fulfil) where Michael had put the word ‘abolished’ because I know so many people lose their minds when they read the word abolish when it comes to their clinging to the OLD COVENANT law- but take note when Paul was speaking- it was during the time of Old Covenant vanishing away. We, my friends live in the NEW COVENANT era. It is all now completely vanished, “made obsolete”! There is no returning to Old Testament law no matter how hard one wishes to cling to it- and no matter how much the WORLD tries to implement it and bring in a NWO or a form of legalism: (Noahide that is written in the education act that all leaders sign off on- and it’s possibly hidden in the 7-mountain mandate religious movement)! We see the evil in the world attempt this over and over and over again, however, I completely believe that Christ Will NOT allow such a blasphemy! I am fully convinced that Christ has this all taken care of! Beware of the destruction of all false ‘end times’ religions/doctrines/eschatology’s/beliefs to be taken down – broken to pieces and smashed!

All false prophecies will fail!

Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed! – Matt 22:43-44

CONSUMMATION;

We use the term “CONSUMMATION” to describe actual receiving of “salvation” in its completed sense. The atonement for the sins of God’s elect was completed with the death, resurrection and ascension, and work of Christ in heavenly Holy of Holies of the heavenly temple -Heb 9:12. The sign of this was that the Holy Spirit was then given to the atoned-for, believing, elect saints who were gathered in one place when Pentecost had fully come in 30ad. – Acts 2:1-4

For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another–He then would have to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”- Heb 9:24-26

This atoning work of Christ was a down payment of salvation that would not be fully CONSUMMATED for anyone, until Christ came back out of the heavenly Holy of Holies. this would be fulfilled when He returned at His second coming. Christ had to appear a second time, not for atonement of sins, but to actually give them SALVATION. The first resurrection, rapture, and rewards of Christ’s Parousia.

“so, Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him (first century saints) HE WILL APPEAR A SECOND TIME, apart from sin, FOR SALVATION.”- Heb 9:28 NKJV

It might be helpful to see how other Bible translations state this verse:

NASB- “So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.”

NIV- “so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await for him.”

NRS- “so Christ having been offered to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.”

Futurism generally teaches that this CONSUMMATION of salvation will occur at Christ’s second coming in the future. Preterism teaches that this CONSUMMATION of salvation occurred at Christ’s second coming Parousia in 66-70ad.

The sign of the CONSUMMATION would be the second coming back out of the Holy of Holies at the end of the age. This refers to the Jewish age and the destruction of the Old Covenant temple in the Jewish-Roman war ending in 70ad.

The Holy Spirit indicated this, that the way into the Holist of All (in heaven) was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. – Heb 9:8

The temple and its sacrifices were made desolate in 70ad. They are no longer part of God’s redemptive plans. At that time the New Covenant spiritual kingdom was fully established, and salvation was fully CONSUMMATE (Aka: completed) for God’s elect believers (past, present, and future). -Dan 9:26

CONSUMMATION is the Hebrew word: [“kalah:-Strong’s #3617=completion]. It was used by Daniel to describe that the temple would be utterly consumed and made desolate resulting in the “completion” of the salvation of the elect TRUE JEWS. This was at the TIME OF THE END of the Jewish age. Not the end of time.

We know when the end of the age occurred. It was when the seals were opened and were no longer necessary because the time had arrived. Daniel’s prophetic vision was SEALED because the time was not yet ready in Daniel’s day. – Dan 8:17,19; Dan 11:35, 40, 12:4.

“And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are CLOSED UP AND SEALED till the TIME OF THE END.”- Dan 12:9

But the time of the end of the Jewish age was present at Christ’s second coming Parousia, which concluded in 70ad. Apostle John wrote that the angel told him in the book of Revelation NOT to seal the words of the prophecy for the time was AT HAND.

“And he said to me, “DO NOT SEAL the words of the prophecy of this book, for the TIME IS AT HAND.” -Rev 22:10

*Do we see how important it is to allow scripture to interpret scripture. Do we see how very crucial it is to keep scripture in context, understand true biblical history and to always realize the audience in which each individual scripture is referring too.

I DO NOT believe in Dual prophecy- that alone is the main issue with religion- keeping deception going- generation after generation! Sadly, we are NOT doing the works of the Father because we are always lusting after false, counterfeit prophecies! He did it once and once only! IT IS FINISHED! HE meant what HE said and said what HE meant!!

However, I do believe in dual meaning that being the LOGOS (written word) and the Rhema (personally revealed word). The bible is the written word of God- Jesus is the Rhema word of God- He is God in His flesh suit that came down here to walk amongst us to teach us relationship- NOT some darn carnal genocidal religion! He came, He walked perfectly, He defeated all legalism (religion)- He died in our place so that we can come to HIM personally with any and all issues of life! WE DO NOT NEED TO FIX OURSELVES OR OTHERS TO GET TO GOD! We must just stop blaming satan (a defeated foe/religious system) and trust the very GRACE that saved us all from the pits of the eternal grave!

COMMUNION

And as they were eating, Jesus took BREAD, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “TAKE, EAT; THIS IS MY BODY.” Then He took the CUP, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “DRINK FROM IT, ALL OF YOU. For this is MY BLOOD OF THE NEW COVENANT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” – Matt 26:26-28

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the COMMUNION of the body of Christ?” -1 Cor 10:16

During the transition period between the Cross and the Parousia of Christ, the first century church celebrated COMMUNION, which is the LORD’S SUPPER, among themselves to remember Christ’s atonement and resurrection. They did this until His second coming Parousia in 66-70ad. At that time all of the first century born-again believers, who were still alive, were raptured to be with the Lord in the New Jerusalem forever.

“For I (Paul) received from the Lord that which is also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night broke it and said, ‘Take, eat; this is MY BODY WHICH IS BROKEN FOR YOU; do this in REMEBRANCE OF ME.’ In the same Manner He also took the CUP after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD. This do, as often a you drink it, in REMEBRANCE OF ME.'” -1 Cor 11:23-25

Now after His second coming Parousia, we Christians today will also join them in the New Jerusalem when we die in this life on earth. After 70ad, we are living in His fully established New Covenant spiritual kingdom. We continue to celebrate the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Him and what He has already accomplished for our salvation.

We live under slightly different rules than those of the first century saints did regarding the LORD’S SUPPER. They had to go through the judgement that was to come at Christ’s Parousia. We do not have to go through that judgment, since it has already been completed. We look back to our Lord’s sacrifice on the Cross for us; and to His resurrection; and to His second coming (past) to consummate our salvation. We celebrate with thankfulness what He has done. We, like them, must not eat the bread or drink the cup in an unworthy manner out of of love and respect for our Lord. – 1 Cor 11:27-28

I want to share a testimony on the body and the blood,

At a time that I was in prayer about a procedure (a medical infusion) I was to receive for a pituitary tumor (found in 2001 this procedure suggested in 2009) as I was at my church preparing the communion table, I heard the LORD speak to my spirit and say, “Take My infusion” and at that very moment I took the bread I had broke and ate it , then I lifted and blessed the cup and drank It.

I’ve never ever received a medical infusion nor radiation, nor surgery as suggested. I don’t even take meds for this mass they call a tumor for God had shown me that it is simply a glowing faith gene! I kid you not, these are my Rhema moments in personal relationship with Christ that are so precious to me! No amount of man’s babble will ever talk me out of What I have with My savior, whom I call out in remembrance of the completeness of the cross and by the very body broken for me and blood shed for me for the forgiveness of my sins, (past, present and future) and for all my healing, spiritual, emotional and physical! THANK YOU ‘ABBA’ NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU!!! ❤

CLOUDS (Prophecy)

One key understanding fulfilled prophecy is to understand what the Scriptures teach about CLOUDS. The Word of God often uses cosmic symbols, like CLOUDS, to proclaim prophetic truths about His coming in judgement. One of the most popular passages about CLOUDS is recorded by John in the book of Revelation.

“Behold, He is coming with CLOUDS, and every eye will see Him even THEY WHO PIERCED HIM, and to al the TRIBES OF THE EARTH will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”- Rev 1:7

In the first chapter of Revelation, John records things which most SHORTLY TAKE PLACE (Rev 1:1). This was written in c.62ad while John was imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. At the time it was written the city of Jerusalem was still standing, which is one proof that it was written before 70ad. After that year Jerusalem was no longer standing.

John said that those first century saints who recognized the importance of what was being said and acted accordingly would be blessed, because THE TIME IS NEAR -REV 1:3

He wrote to the seven churches in Asia Minor, which was a Roman province and part of the Roman Empire in the New Testament days. It was the main travel route between Rome in west and Jerusalem in the east. Many Jews (the diaspora) were located there. The Revelation was written with a Jewish mindset using Old Testament language to describe to the Christians (many of whom were Jewish believers in Christ) the soon destruction of Jerusalem at the second coming Parousia of Christ (66-70ad).

John said that Christ was coming in the CLOUDS, and every eye in Jerusalem would see Him. He clarified this by saying that it would take place where those “who had pierced (crucified) Him” would see THE SIGN of His soon coming. All of the Jewish tribes would morn because of His coming in judgement when the saw the destruction of their city, Jerusalem, being completely destroyed by the Roman armies.

“Then the SIGN of the Son of Man will APPEAR IN HEAVEN, and then all the TRIBES OF THE EARTH (Jews) will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS of heaven with power and great glory.” – Matt 24:30

Some examples of the Scriptures using CLOUDS to describe the sing of His judgement and strength in dealing with nations are:

Ascribe strength to God: “His excellence is over Israel, and His STRENGTH IS IN THE CLOUDS.” – Psa 68:34

“He lays His beams of HIs upper chambers in the waters, Who makes THE CLOUDS HIS CHARIOT, who walks on the wings of the wind.” -Psa 104:3

“In that day they will roar against them like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks to the land, behold, darkness and sorrow; and THE LIGHT IS DARKNESS BY THE CLOUDS.” – Isa 5:30

“Behold, HE SHALL COME UP LIKE CLOUDS, and His chariots like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us, for WE ARE PLUNDERED!” Jer 4:13

“For the day is near, even the DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR; it will be A DAY OF CLOUDS, the TIME OF THE GENTILES.” -Ez 30:3

“Blow the trumpet in ZION and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all inhabitants of the land (Jews) tremble; for the DAY OF THE LORD IS COMIN, for it is AT HAND: A day of darkness and gloominess, A DAY OF CLOUDS and thick darkness, like the morning CLOUDS spread over all the mountains.” -Joel 2:1-2

“The Lord is slow to anger and great in power and WILL NOT AT ALL AQUIT THE WICKED. The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and the storm, and THE CLOUDS are the dust of His feet.”- Nahum 2:3

“The GREAT DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR; it is near and hastens quickly. The noise of the DAY OF THE LORD is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. THAT DAY IS A DAY OF WRATH, a day of trouble and distress, and day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, A DAY OF CLOUDS and thick darkness.”- Zeph 1:14-15

*Isn’t it amazing the powerful truths that come about when we allow scripture to interpret scripture and when we understand the language of specific biblical text. I truly think the proper understanding comes when there is an actual divine gift upon us vessels; (the eyes to see, the ears to hear & the heart to listen) aligns when we are truly using the biblical gift of discernment and the actual ‘gift of tongues’ (understanding the language in the context it was written) is the key to understanding the TRUE WISDOM OF GOD!

‘But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it.”- James 1:5

Pray and ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and allow to be used powerfully in them! We are the temple of the living God, the very walking return of Christ, we ought to be walking out the NEW COVANENT, NEW KINDGOM PRINCIPLES AND WAYS! It is only in this new walk (walking out our salvation and bringing others into the fold/Christ family) that we will see the works of ABBA riding in on the CLOUDS! We are the new internet of CLOUDS; Not to bring judgment but to bring the whirlwind of awesomeness that Christ had bestowed upon us! ❤

CHILDREN OF GOD

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become CHILDREN OF GOD, to those who believe in His name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”-John 1:11-13

The Term CHILDREN OF GOD in the New Testament refers to those who have been born-again spiritually and have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The high priest, Caiaphas, who was not a believer, prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only (Jews in Palestine), but also that He would gather together in one the CHILDREN OF GOD who were scattered abroad (Jewish Diaspora). – John 11:51-52

Now Caiaphas thought that it would be better to let Christ die, even if some of the Jews believed in Him, than to have the entire nation of Israel believe in Him. That might result in the Romans taking away authority of the Pharisees, including the whole Jewish religious system and nation. Caiaphas saw Jesus as a political threat and a rival for ruling. He did not understand the nature of the spiritual kingdom of Christ. -John 11:47-50

Therefore, the chief priests and Pharisees began to plot to put Him to death. – John 11:53 The cheif priests and Pharisees did not understand that Jesus was indeed the Messiah, and all of His elect believers were “TRUE JEWS”. They are the believing Jews and believing Gentiles. They are the true CHILDREN OF GOD. They are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Paul clarified this in his epistle to the Romans.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘ABBA FATHER’. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are CHILDREN OF GOD, and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. – Rom 8:15-17

Apostle Paul said that the sufferings that those first century saint were going through because of their faith in Christ was not worthy to be compared to the glory that would soon be revealed in them when the Lord appeared at His second coming Parousia in 66-70ad.At that time the creation itself would be delivered from the bondage of the Old Covenant corruption into the glorious liberty of the New Covenant for the CHILDREN OF GOD. Rom 8:18-21; Phil 2:14-16

Apostle John wrote in his smaller epistle that whoever believes that Jesus Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him, also loves those who are begotten of Him, (CHILDREN OF GOD). They would know that they love the CHILDREN OF GOD, when the love God. Their love would be manifested when they practice righteousness and have brotherly love for one- another. – 1 John 5:1-2; 3:1-2; 3:10.

Captivity Captive:

Immediately after His crucifixion and burial in the tomb, the Lord Jesus Christ, descended into Hades and preached to the Old Testament deceased, elect saints who had been waiting their captive in Abraham’s Bosom (aka: Paradise). He assured them that He would rise from death and would take them with Him to heaven, but they would have to wait forty more days until His ascension. Many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised out of the graves after Christ’s ascension..

Many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised out of the graves after Christ’s resurrection. They went into Jerusalem and appeared to many people. That particular first century generation of Jews had more firsthand evidence to that fact that Jesus is the Messiah, than did any others in human history. – Matt 27:52-53

Those who were taken up to heaven at Christ’s ascension no longer had flesh and blood bodies, but they did have a bodily form of some kind that is not fully described. Although it was visible, with eyes, hands and senses. This we surmise from Christ’s parable of Abraham’s Bosom and the description of the beggar Lazarus. Lazarus had feelings of comfort. The rich man in torments side of Hades saw Abraham and Lazarus afar off in Abraham’s Bosom. He asked Lazarus to dip his finger in the water to cool his tongue because he was tormented by the heat. – Luke 16:19-31

Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts to men. (“Now this, “He ascended”–what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who ascended is also the ONE who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)”- Eph 4:8-10

At His ascension, Christ led the CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, bringing Paradise up with Him into the third heaven -2 Cor 12:14 Some of the martyrs and special ones may have been taken further up with Him to the outer courts under the altar of the Holy of Holies of the heavenly temple -Rev 6:9-11

Christ completed His atonement work in the heavenly Holy of Holies at His ascension. A week later at Pentecost God sent the Holy Spirit to indwell the believers on earth. This was the Day of Pentecost had fully come. -Acts1:8; 2:1-4; 2:16-17; John 14:26; John 15:26

The captives waited for the consummation of their salvation at His second coming Parousia that occurred in 66ad. -Heb 9:28 It was then that they were placed in their permanent dwelling place, the heavenly New Jerusalem in Christ’s presence. The also then received their new incorruptible, glorified, spiritual, visible, heavenly bodies.

*Just a reminder that I am using a study guide handbook on these blogs: I am NOT taking credit for these lessons. My goal a few months back was to do a bible study in the realm of Preterism: (deriving from the Latin preter, meaning “past”) is an approach to biblical eschatology that understands all prophecies as fulfilled in the first century AD.

There is partial, full and hyper preterism. I claim no titles or isms as I’ve hoped I made myself clear on. However, after studying without all the influence of sensationalism that my former dispensationalism views were (I was by indoctrination and not a proper evaluation of scriptures myself) I came to see the FULFILLMENT OF CHRIST AND THIS IS THE CURRENT LENS I WILL CONTINUE TO SHARE! I am not hyper preterist by any means, and no amount of diving into the rabbit hole of knowledge of good and evil will persuade me away from seeking my desired knowledge from the TREE OF LIFE! There is a HUGE difference between where we put our studies and trust. Be cautious when studying out Gods word not to desire the tree of knowledge of good and evil over the Tree of LIFE – that being Christ!

“Do your best to win God’s approval as a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed and who teaches only the true message.”- 2 Tim 2:15

**My thoughts on this lesson: do we see how asinine it is to think that there is a future physical resurrection or rapture? It wasn’t about us – it was about them! However, I do see that we are after the cross, so we are entitled to all the promises of God too… through our acceptance of the wedding invitation (belief that Christ is our Messiah the very ROCK the church was founded on- this is the Gospel)! I fully heartedly believe WE are resurrected upon our death and in the blink of an eye we are with HIM!! (to all born again believers! WE live in the EVERLATING COVENANT! ❤

CANON

And I will give you THE KEYS of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” -Matt 16:19

The New Testament CANON was written, collected, and certified by the Apostles before they died or were raptured in 66ad. The CANON was given by the Holy Spirit. The Apostles were the only ones who had direct eyewitness experience with Christ. Peter was the only one who had authority from Christ to select the CANON. They completed the gospel message and all that Jesus had commanded them before the end of the Jewish Old Covenant age in 70ad.

Apostle Peter quoted what Moses said-that God would raise up a Prophet (Christ), who would speak God’s words. God confirmed this to the Apostles when He ordered them to listen to Him. Christ spoke and the Apostles, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote what He said.

For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet (Christ) like me from your brethren. HIM YOU SHALL HEAR in all things, WHATEVER HE SAYS to you'”. -Acts 3:22

Christ connected the Old and New Testament Scriptures together when He said to the Jews: “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe HIS WRITINGS, how will you believe MY WORDS?’ -John 5:46-47

The Christian Bible is not complete without both the Old and New Testament Scriptures. JESUS SPOKE TO THE DISCIPLES AND TOLD THEM THAT THE CITY OF JERUSALEM AND THE TEMPLE WOULD BE DESTROYED IN THEIR GENERATION. He said NOT ONE STONE WOULD BE LEFT UPON ANOTHER. He said THE OLD COVENANT JEWISH RELGIOUS SYSTEM (old heaven and old earth) WOULD PASS AWAY IN THEIR LIFETIME, but HIS WORDS WOULD NEVER PASS AWAY.

Assuredly, I say to you, THIS GENERATION [them standing before Him that day, not you nor I nor any other generation] will by NO MEANS PASS AWAY TILL ALL THESE THINGS TAKE PLACE. HEAVEN AND EARTH [The old religious system] will pass away, BUT MY WORDS WILL BY NO MEANS PASS AWAY.”- Matt24:34-35

The Holy Spirit guided the Apostles when they wrote and approved the books and letters in the New Testament. He caused them to remember what Christ had said to them. The Apostles received direct revelation from the Lord. He told all that the Father told Him to make them known to them. The Apostles were chosen by God and their authority was given to them by God. – John 15:15-16; Rom 1:5

But the Helper, the HOLY SPIRIT, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to YOUR REMEBRANCE all things that I said to you.”- John 14:26

Jesus specifically gave authority to select the New Testament books to the Apostle Peter. Jesus said that He gave the “keys” of the kingdom of heaven (New Covenant truths) to Peter. This included the authority to bind (select) and loose (reject) all canonical writings before 70ad. Peter selected the books and letters that were included in the New Testament CANON.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will BUILD MY CHURCH, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, and whatever you BIND on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you LOOSE on earth will be loosed in heaven.”– Matt 16:18-19

All of the New Testament books were written before Peter’s death in early 65ad. This was right after his second epistle 2nd Peter was written in late 64ad. Paul wrote that the gospel had already been taught to all nations. -Acts 2:5-12; Col 1:6, 23. Peter recognized the inspired writings of John, Paul, Peter, plus two half-brothers of Jesus: James and Jude. He approved the four Gospels and Acts. They were written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Hebrews was probably written by Paul. Peter specifically bound Paul’s fourteen epistles. Peter said that ALL, not some, of Paul’s epistles were the same as the REST OF THE SCRIPTURES. -2 Pet 3:15-16

All of the twenty-seven New Testament books were acknowledged and selected by Peter as the New Testament CANON. The Apostles authorized all these books to be copied and circulated among the churches. This has been called: “APOSTOLIC CANONIZATION”. There were probably not very many churches in the first century who had copies of ALL twenty-seven books of N.T. CANON. Those who did were undoubtedly the larger churches, such as Jerusalem, Rome, Antioch, Alexandria, and perhaps a few others.

The certification of these particular books was an application of the apostolic authority to bind or loose the New Testament CANON. The Lord approved the CANON and bound them in heaven. Just prior to his martyrdom, Peter ensured the believers that he would leave them the New Testament CANON as a reminder of the gospel and the Christ’s teachings.

Moreover I (Peter) will be careful to ENSURE that YOU ALWAYS HAVE A REMINDER (of the New Testament CANON) OF THESE THINGS AFTER MY DECEASE.” -2 Pet 1:15

The BRIDE OF CHRIST refers to the first century church. Those saints were specially chosen people. Christ established His New Covenant heavenly home in the New Jerusalem, which He bought with Him at His second coming Parousia in 66ad. This is where the first century church, the BRIDE OF CHRIS, consisting of the resurrected and raptured saints in 66ad, permanently resided in His presence.

“Then I, John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven form God, prepared as a BRIDE adorned for her husband,” -Rev 21:2

The one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the BRIDE, THE LAMBS WIFE.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, THE HOLY JERUSALEM, descending out of heaven from God.” – Rev 21:9-10

They were represented by the five wise virgins in Christ’s parable. -Matt 21:1-10. They eagerly waited for the Groom to come. They were ready and when the Groom was coming, they awoke, trimmed their lamps and went out to meet Him. The wedding took place with Christ as the Groom and the first century, raise dand raptured the church, as the Bride.

The five other virgins, whose lamps did not have oil, may have been like the “sleepers’ in the first century church, who were not genuine believers. They were caught like a “thief in the night” thus missing His coming. The Groom told them: Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.”. –Matt 25:11-12; 7;22-23; 1 Thess 5:2; Rev 3:3

The New Jerusalem is also the eternal dwelling place of the Old Testament saints. In addition, it is the permanent place for all born-again believes after they die going forward in human history. -John 1:12-13 They all have eternal life in Christ and are all brothers and sisters of each other. -Matt 19:29

The non-believing Jews of Old Jerusalem and Old Covenant had become the “harlot” to God. -Rev 19:2 Christ righteously punished and destroyed her. He took as His BRIDE, the born-again believers of the New Jerusalem, under the New Covenant. These are the made righteous forever in Christ. – Duet 24:4; Eze 44:33; Matt 5:32; 19:9; 1 Cor 6:15.

Just like a newlywed couple establishes a new home together at marriage, this is the same way the Bible describes the marriage of Christ and the BRIDE. In heaven, they build a new household together. (all believers after 70ad) are part of that new household, both covently and positionally) “in Christ: while on earth and fully experientially when they die and go to heaven. – Rev 21:24-26; 22:14-17
