In the bible prophecy, BABYLON refers to the harlot city of Jerusalem. It was a wicked city in the first century generation of Jews that saw Christ’s first coming. Apostle Paul referred to “BABYLON’ as the city in which the Jerusalem church was located. He established the time and location of ‘BABYLON” in prophecy. This was in 63-64 ad, when he wrote First Peter, while Peter and Mark were still alive.

“She (the Jerusalem church) who is in BABYLON, elect together with you, greets you and so does Mark my son.” 1 Pet 5:13.

John wrote in the Revelation that in his vision he saw that “BABYLON” had fallen -Rev 14:8; 18:2. This was describing the city of Jerusalem, which crucified the Lord and killed the Apostles and prophets sent to it. It was where the Diaspora of Jews went annually from all nations for the Old Covenant sacrifices and ceremonies. It was Jerusalem that received the sentences of condemnation from the Lord. It was the first century generation of the Apostles that would see the destruction of Jerusalem.

Jesus said about Jerusalem, “Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes, some of them you will KILL AND CRUCIFY, and some of them you will SCOURGE in your synagogues and PERSECUTE from city to city, that ON YOU may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah, son of Berechiah, whom you MURDERED between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, ALL THESE THINGS WILL COME UPON THIS GENERATOIN. “O JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM, the one who kills the PROPHETS and stones those WHO ARE SENT to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but YOU WERE NOT WILLING! See! YOUR house is left to you DESOLATE”. – Matt 23:34-38; Luke 13:34-35

The wrath of God was poured out on Jerusalem (aka: “BABYLON”) and it was totally destroyed in 70ad. – Rev 16:19; 17:5 18:5, 10, 21. The Revelation of John described things that were to happen SHORTLY, NEAR, AT HAND, AND QUICKLY. This destruction of Jerusalem and the temple simplified the passing away of the Old Covenant Jewish religious system and the physical nation of Israel (old heavens and old earth) in God’s redemptive plans. -Rev 1:1, 3; 3:11; 22:6-7, 10, 12, 20. If “heaven and earth” have not yet passed away, then every single jot and tittle of the law is still valid today!

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets, I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For ASSURDELY, I say to you, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS AWAYS, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till ALL IS FULFILLED”. – Matt 5:17-18

After 70ad, God has fully established His New Covenant spiritual gospel kingdom. This spiritual kingdom is made up of all born-again elect believrs in Christ. It is not a visable kingdom, but it is within each believer. – Luke 17:21.

The spiritual kingdom of Christians is the spiritual body of Christ, otherwise known as His Church. Each and every believer is equal in authority and status in God’s eyes. Each believer in the New Covenant spiritual body of Christ is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. -Rom 8:9, 15; 1 Cor 6:19; Eph 2:22; 3:16; 2 Tim 1:14; James 4:5 Therefore in Christ only righteousness dwells in the New Covenant spiritual kingdom.

The New Covenant gospel and the changes in the heavenly realm regarding angels is the “New Heavens”. The New Covenant Body of Christ made up all believers, is the “New Earth.” Each and every Christian in the New Covenant Church is a priest with a personal priesthood access to almighty God.

“you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a HOLY PREISTHOOD, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” – Pet 2:5

All believers in the New Covenant gospel kingdom have direct access to God. -1 John 5:14-15; 1 Pet 2:9. Each believer-priest has Jesus Christ as the only authority over them. After 70ad there is no authority between the believer and Christ. (Not Apostles, pastors, nor elders.) At the same time, each believer is to respectfully submit to one-another in Christ. This includes those who minister as elders and teachers in the fellowship of believers.;

During the transition period between Christ’s first and second comings, ending in 70ad., the New Covenant kingdom was beginning in its infancy. Gifted men, such as the apostles, and prophets, were chosen and commissioned by God to be the foundation for His church. -Matt 16:18; Eph 2:20; 4:11. These first century apostles and church leaders had mighty spiritual gifts given to them, but they also had great responsiblites. -Acts 1:8

They were to make disciples, equipping them for the work of the ministry and the edifying of the body of Christ. Jesus told them He was with them always (day and night) as they carried out His commissions given to them until the end of the Jewish age in their generation. – Matt 28:19-20

Those first century people did not yet have the New Testament Canon, which proclaimed the gospel and were the “keys to heaven”. Peter and the Apostles would complete and select the Canonical writings before Christ’s Parousia in 66ad -Matt 16:19. The responsibility for teaching the truth, appointing other leaders, and ruling over the brethren was entirely in the Apostles hands. They would be held accountable for their work, but they would also receive special rewards in the judgement.

Therefore, those first century Christians were to hold fast to their confession of hope without wavering, for God is faithful. They were to help one another to stir up the brotherly love and good works. They were to assemble together and exhort on another, as the Day of Christ return WAS approaching SOON. – Heb 10:23-25,37 They were instructed to “obey those who rule over you,” and be submissive, for they watch out for the saints, and must give an account in the soon coming judgement in 66-70ad. – Heb 13:17

Now after 70ad all of those judgements are finished. Now, in the fully established New Covenant Kingdom, each believer has a fully consummat3ed salvation in Christ. Each believer is a priest of the highest standing in the kingdom. Each believer is a permanent member of the spiritual body of Christ and has the Holy Spirit permanently indwelling them.

Each believer has the completed New Testament Canon of Scriptures. Each believer has direct priesthood access to Christ in prayer. Each believer must study and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, giving all the glory to Him and not to men. – 2 Pet 3:18

Each believer is to love one another, submit to one-another, care for one-another, teach one-another, help one-another, and exhort one-another. This includes the elders, who as mature and faithful servants of God, minister to their fellow brethren in the Church. (Body of believers).

ASHAMED:

For whoever is ASHAMED of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ASHAMED when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.” – Luke 9:26

All born-again, elect Christians have a secure salvation in the New Covenant spiritual, and gospel, Kingdom after 70ad. There is a difference between those transitional period saints and those saints who live after Christ’s Parousia, ending in 70ad.

The warning by Christ regarding those who were ASHAMED of Him and His second coming was applicable to those whom He was referring as “this adulterous and sinful generation” of the first century Jews. His being ASHAMED of them would only occur at His Parousia, “when He comes in Glory with His angels”, which took place in 66-70ad.

For whoever is ASHAMED of Me and My words, this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man will be ASHAMED when He comes in His glory of His Father with the holy angels.”- Mark 8:38

The denial of Christ in the above verses refers to a continuing denial. It is permanent state of mind of unbelieving first century Jews, who rejected Jesus as the Messiah. It is not a temporary act such as Peter’s denial when the rooster crowed. -Matt 26:34-35

ATONEMENT:

Under the Old Covenant Jewish religious system, God required priests to continually make atonement in the first part of the temple for sins of the people. This involved animal sacrifices and ceremonies of the animal’s blood sprinkled on the altar of God. (Example: Lev 9:7,12,18,23-24). Once a year, the ‘high priest’ went in and made a blood offering for himself and for the sins of the people in the holy of holies, second part, or inner part of the temple.

“…the priests always went int the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and the people’s sins committed in ignorance”. -Heb 9:6-7

Jesus Christ was the True High Priest, who made the final sacrifices for the sins of His people. He was crucified, buried, and resurrected for the grave. He completed His ATONEMENT work in the heavenly Holy of Holies after His ascension forty days later.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscious from the dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason, He is the Meditator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that t hose who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance’.- Heb 9:14-15

The blood of Christ is the eternal offering to cleanse the sins of God’s elect believers, that they may receive the promise of eternal life. It was necessary for His blood to be shed and offered as the FINAL ATONEMENT. Otherwise, there would be no eternal remission of sin.

“And according to the law almost all things are purified with the blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. – Heb 9:22

Christ’s ATONEMENT work was completed behind the second veil, in the part of the heavenly temple, which is called the Holiest of All. – Heb 9:3. He did not offer Himself often, as the Jewish high priest was required to do every year with the blood of animals in the Most Holy Place of the earthly temple.

For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another. He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” – Heb 9:23-26

The Lord has accomplished the ATONEMENT for His elect saints of the first century in 30ad. However, the salvation of His people and their eternal access into the Holy of Holies presence of god was not yet consummated UNTIL two things occurred.

First, He had to come back out a second time to show that His atonement had been accepted by God. He accomplished this at His second coming Parousia in 66-70 ad. “So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. to those who eagerly wait for Him (first century saints) He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for SALVATION (of all of His elect). Heb 9:28

Second, the first tabernacle had to be destroyed. He accomplished this in 70ad. with the destruction of the earthly temple in Jerusalem. “The Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest (for His people) WHILE THE FIRST TABERNACLE WAS STILL STANDING.” -Heb 9:8

It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience – concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.”- Heb 9:9-10

*Are we starting to see how worthless going back to OT is? The seriousness of sacrificing of animals only to show there is ONE TRUE SACRIFICE-AND THAT IS CHRIST AND CHRIST ALONE! No more worthless ‘traditions of men’ because in Christ IT IS FINISHED!!

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not ASCENDED to My Father: but go to My brethren and say to them, I am ASCENDING to My Father and your Father, and to My God and to your God.’- John 20:16-17.

After Christs crucifixion and resurrection, He was first seen by Mary Magdalene. She ran to Him, but He told her not to cling to Him, for He had not yet ASCENDED to His Father. That Ascension would not occur until forty days later. He told her to go to the disciples and tell them that He would be ASCENDING TO THE FATHER.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you’ and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was TAKEN UP, AND A CLOUD RECIEVED HIM OUT OF THEIR SIGHT. And while they looked up steadfastly toward heaven AS HE WENT UP, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was TAKEN UP FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, will so come in a like manner as you saw Him go into Heaven. – Acts 1:8-11

Before Christ ASCENDED to the Father, He appeared in Jerusalem and was seen by many different groups of people. They knew that He was alive and had resurrected from the grave. He spent forty days speaking with His Apostles and telling them things about the kingdom of God. He led His Apostles out as far as Bethany and while He spoke, He was taken up and ASCENDED to the Father. -Luke 24:50-53.

He promised His disciples that they would receive the Holy Spirit after His ASCENSION. He told them that they were to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. They watched as He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. While they looked steadfastly toward heaven two angels told them that Jesus would come again in like manner (in the clouds) as they saw Him taken up. This was in reference to His second coming Parousia, which occurred in 66-70 ad, in that generation. – Heb 9:28

Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians in c63ad and said the Christ had descended into Hades, preaching to His elect saints there, assuring them that He was alive. He brought them up forty days later at His ASCENSION. He left them in outer courts of Heaven, while He ascended to the Holy of Holies to complete the Yom Kipper atonement in the heavenly temple.

Therefore, He says: ‘When He ASCENDED on high, HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE, and gave gifts to men.’ Now this, ‘He ASCENDED’–what does it mean but He first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ASCENDED for above all the heavens, the He might fill all things.)”- Eph 4:8-10

I share this because on my search for truth I’ve read and researched many different viewpoints (known as theology, doctrine and eschatology) but his seems to align with my inner convictions the closest; however, I do not agree 100 percent with all his lessons (or viewpoints) or simple maybe I don’t think I would explain things exactly like him. However, I do love the simplicity that he shares. I am in no way telling anyone to just believe him nor I, please go to God (Jesus) and ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to teach YOU in ALL THINGS.

A crucial key is to NOT separate the FATHER AND THE SON for this is a Hugh hindering block to unlocking all the scriptures! The Father is Jesus -Jesus was the Son that now HAS ASCENDED into the heavenlies and HAS SENT forth HIS promise of the HOLY SPIRIT to all That call HIM ABBA!

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and was and is to come–the Almighty. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. Revelation 1:8

Reminder: Only His born-again children shall receive this gift of UNDERSTANDING the scriptures!

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”  –You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ – John 3:3-7

And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew “ARMAGEDDEON.’ -Rev 16:16

The Greek word ARMAGEDDON comes from the two Hebrew words “Har Magedon”. meaning ‘the hill of Megiddo’. This has come to characterize the last great battle at the time of the end of the Jewish Age and the nation of Israel as God’s chosen people, NOT the end of time. It has come to be a nickname reference to the Jewish-Roman war that resulted in the total destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the temple in 70ad.

However, ARMAGEDDON simply describes the place in the Province of Galilee where the Roman armies gathered together. for the battle against Israel, it was near the coastal city of Ptolemais, south of Nazareth and Mt.Tabor. It was the staging area for the Roman troops.

It was bordered by Mt. Carmel on the west; Mr. Gilboa to the southeast; and Mr. Tabor in the distant north. It is the valley of Jezreel, which Megiddo overlooks. The site of the main battle itself is commonly reckoned as the Kidron Valley (Jehoshaphat), immediately adjacent to Jerusalem, between the Temple of Mount and the Mount of Olives. – See: Joel 3:2-16

**Keeping today’s blog/lesson: short and to the point. The major problem with the ‘churches’ and ‘end times’ theologies is that we do NOT keep the scriptures in context of what, when, how, and who it actually happened. I will once again HIGHLIGHT the importance of reading the scriptures and how to properly interpret them.

They have been purposely mystified by the Rockefeller bought churches and seminaries… we truly need to COME OUT OF HER; (That being the false “end times” churches.) Yup, I said it COME OUT OF THE LIES that have been spread throughout the ages to only confuse you and bring upon us the plagues of life probably for adding & taking away from (not only the logos (written word) but also and most crucially taking away and adding to the RHEMA Word and that is CHRIST AND CHRIST ALONE! ALL SCRITPURE IS ABOUT CHRIST COMING, CRUCIFIXTION AND ASCENDING TO THE HEAVENLIES and only through the completion of This promised child born unto us did all things happen. HE IS NOW ABBA RESIDING IN THE HEAVENLIES AND WE ARE TO DESIRE ABBA’S LOVE AND POSTION WITH HIM FOR ETEERNITY!! ❤

A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called, “Wonderful Counselor,” “Mighty God,” “Eternal Father,” “Prince of Peace.”- Isa 9:6

HE has fulfilled it all; the book is now sealed, and may we stand in our salvation so that we too are sealed, and our name is written in the book of life.

 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.- Rev 22:18-19

The word APOSTLE signifies on sent forth. (Greek: “apostlos”–Strong’s #654 =an ambassador of the gospel; a commissioner of Christ with miraculous powers; he that is sent).

The twelve APOSTLES were chosen by Christ to present the gospel message primarily to the first century Jews and then to the Gentiles during the transition period. Their mission was perhaps the most important and difficult human task in all the redemptive history. They were personally taught and trained by the Lord Himself during His first coming in 26-30 ad.

They had powerful spiritual gifts to help them. They were all Jewish men, who, except for the ‘son of perdition’ Judas Iscariot, became faithful believers in Jesus Christ. They were extremely persecuted, and some were even martyred by the unbelieving Jews and Romans.

All Christians (believing Jews and Gentiles) are members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the APOSTELS and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. -Eph 2:19-22

APOSTLE Paul who had been persecuting the church, was added to their number by Chris Himself at the time of his conversion on the Damascus Road. – Acts 9:27; 1 Cor 1:1; 2 Cor 12:2-4. He was specially commissioned to send the gospels to the Gentiles. -Acts 9″15; Acts 13:46-48; Rom 11:13.

The APOSTELS established the beginning of the church. – Matt 16:18. They wrote and approved the New Testament Canon of Scripture. – Matt 16:19; 2 Pet 1:15-21; 2 Pet 3:2,15-16. [Note: Luke was a Gentile-disciple, who wrote his Gospel and the book of Acts. It was not their apostleship that made their writings canonical; but it was their inspiration by the Holy Spirit that was recognized and approved by the Apostle Peter and the others.]

They had the Holy Spirit working mightily in them. – John 15:26-27 They were commissioned by Christ to personally go and make disciples until the end of the Jewish age at Christ’s second coming Parousia in 66-70 ad. -Matt 28:16-20

They were given much responsibility, but also receive great rewards in the judgement. APOSTLESHIP was a first century calling and commission Barnabas and a few others were referred to as messengers or apostles. -Acts 14:14; 1Thess 1:1, 2:6

The disciples that were taught by the APOSTELS were to do likewise with others. Being born again disciple of Christ is an eternal calling and commission that continues for all Christians living in the New Covenant kingdom after 70ad.

The word “ANTICHRIST” (Greek: “antichristos”-Strong’s #500= opponent of the Messiah) is only used four times in the singular and once in the plural in the bible. All are in the New Testament. Apostle John wrote in 61-62 ad that the Antichrist was coming, and was even already in the world at the time. -John 2:18; 1 John 4:3 This is revealed to those first century saints that it was the last hour before Christ’s second coming in 66-70 ad.

John said that there were “many antichrists’ that had come at that time. Those antichrists were liars who denied the Father and the Son. -1 John 2:18,22 They were deceivers who did not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. -1 John 2:18, 2 John 1:7

Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonians that the Day of Christ’s second coming Parousia and the gathering of the saints to Him would not come until the “MAN OF SIN’ was revealed. He would sit in the temple of God and try to show himself to be God. The only ones who stood or sat in the holiest part of the temple before it was destroyed in 70 ad were the leaders of the factions of Jewish Zealots.

“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask YOU, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word of the letter, as if us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive YOU by any means; FOR THAT DAY WILL NOT COME unless THE FALLING AWAY COMES FIRST, and THE MAN OF SIN IS REVEALED, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, showing himself that he is God”. -2 Thess 2:1-4

There are clues from the above and other bible verses that tell when this revealing of the man of sin, son of perdition would occur. (Greek: “apoleia”-Strong’s #684=perdition, destruction, damnation). This is a man (or men), not an angel. He is destined for eternal destruction in hell. Judas Iscariot was such a man. -John 17:12. The Jewish Zealots were such men, destined for hell.

First, the temple is still standing; so that dates the first century before 70ad.

Second, the “falling away” of some professing, not genuine, first century believers, comes along with the revealing of the man of sin. – 2 Thess 2:3-4 [See: FALLING AWAY”; MAN OF SIN’]

Third, the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way, so that the lawlessness, which is already at work in Paul’s time, could continue to unrestrained in Jerusalem and the temple. – 2 Thess 2:7-8. This occurred when the genuine believers in Judea fled to the mountains to escape the coming wrath of God against Jerusalem. – Matt 24:16,22; Mark 13:14, 20; Luke 21:21.

Fourth, he was called the lawless one and was working under the power of Satan. -2 Thess 2:9-10. This closely resembles the spirit of the ANTICHRIST that John had described.

Fifth, all of the unbelieving Jewish Zealots were deluded, rejecting God, having pleasure in unrighteousness, and are condemned to hell. -2 Thess 2:11-12

Finally, we should realize that “THE ANTICHRIST” is not the all-powerful worldwide leader that many have thought he is. He is not someone who we should be looking for today to try and identify. Instead, he would have been a particular one of many antichrists in the FIRST CENTURY, who was actively involved in the deception of Israel at the time of its destruction ending in 70ad. This may mean that he was one of the Jewish Zealots leaders.

*I understand that all of these teachings are going against the religious indoctrinated grain. but please continue to read them and pray without all the bad theologies and doctrines that have influenced the pure and simple words of the Bible, the Prophets and Jesus Himself. When we start to literally see the word in its proper context, history and audience relevance we start to see the WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. All the false prophecies that have gone on for centuries will be put to rest. I can’t help but rebuke the nonsense that most of us ‘christians’ have believed. So many doctrinal lies. So let me ask you, are you more dedicated and faithful to all the sensationalism and hold steadfast to theologies or are you dedicated and faithful to CHRIST HIMSELF! Because let me point out my fellow siblings that ALL THINGS WERE FULFILLED in the first century and to add to or to take away from the complete word THAT BEING CHRIST, is blasphemy!

ANGELS are created beings. They are messengers and are spirits. The Hebrew word for ANGEL is “malak” (Strong’s #4397), which means a “messenger”. It is also used sometimes to mean a prophet, priest, teacher, ambassador, or king. The Greek word for ANGEL is “angelos” (Strong’s #32), which means “messenger”.

The Faith of God’s people in His Covenant Church is something that was prophesized in the Scriptures and was manifested in the first century through the preaching of the gospel. It is something that even the angels desired to understand.

“To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven–THINGS WHICH ANGELS DESIRE TO LOOK INTO.”- 1 Pet 1:12.

HOLY ANGELS are created beings, superior to humans on earth, and who are always serving God. -Heb 2:7; Psa 103:20. They do not have physical bodies of flesh and blood like man does. But they can assume human form when necessary. They are referred to as elect angels. – 1 Tim 5:21. They are sent forth by God to minister to the elect saints. – Heb 1:14; Heb 13:2; Psa 91:11. When Christ returned in glory at His second coming Parousia in 66-70 ad, the Holy Angels came with Him. -Matt 25:31; Mark 8:38; Luke 9:26.

EVIL ANGELS are created beings that sinned and left their own abode. God reserved them in everlasting chains under darkness in the unseen realm for the judgement of the great day, which judgement was in 70ad.– Jude 25:41;2 Pet 2:4; also, probably Rom 8:38- “principalities.” They are forever in the darkness of unbelief in Christ. They will never repent and move from their state of being in everlasting chains apart from God. They will never experience the wonderful graces of God.

ARCHANGEL is not used in the Old Testament. [Greek: “archangelos” or “archaggelos”- Strong’s #743= a chief angel]. It is only used twice in the New Testament.

– 1 Thess. 4:16 & 1:9

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, WITH THE VOICE OF AN ARCHANGEL, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.”. -1 Thess. 4:16

This seems to indicate that Jesus Himself will speak with an archangelic shout at His second coming Parousia. “The” voice of “AN” ARCHANGEL implies that there is probably more than one ARCHANGEL.

(1) Michael is identified as “THE” ARCHANGEL. He is considered chief of the angels and protector of Israel. – Jude 1:9. He is referred to as “one of the chief princes” by Daniel. -Dan 10:13, 21, 12:1. This suggests that there are other such chief princes of archangels. Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; so that the dragon and his angels (demons) were cast out to earth. – Rev 12:7-9

[Note: Unless there is more about the circumstances of this war in heaven that we do not understand, it appears doubtful that Michael, the Archangel, would be referring to Christ Himself. Any battle in heaven that personally involved Christ (God) literally fighting an angel (dragon) would be so one-sided that id does not seem viable.]

(2) Gabriel may be an ARCHANGEL, although not specifically identified as such. He is a special agent of God. In Jewish thought he is always God’s messenger and is portrayed as resembling a man. – Dan 8:16; 9:21; Luke 1:19-29.

(3) Satan may be an ARCHANGEL, although not identified as such. He is the one who tempted Jesus in the wilderness – Matt 4:10; Mark 1:13; Luke 4:8. Satan bound a woman for eighteen years and Christ healed her. – Luke 13:16. Satan entered Judas leading to his betrayal of Christ – Luke 22:3-6; John 13:27. Satan was involved when Ananias and his wife lied to the Holy Spirit resulting in their immediate death. -Acts 5:1-10. Satan is identified as the Devil and the dragon, the most evil of the angels (aka: demons to the underworld. -Rev 12:9

(4) Principality (plural:principalities)[Greek: “arche”- Strong’s #746- chief, ruler, power] may include ARCHANGELS or just angels. The word is the prefix to ARCHANGELS. The Church in its formation was made known to the “principalities” in heavnly places – Eph 3:10. The believers, who make up the church, are created by God – Col 1:16. Christ is the head of all principality and power. -Col 2:10. He triumphed over principalities and power. Col 2:15

The Old Testament continually prophesied about the coming of the Messiah to Israel. It described when it would occur; where it would occur; how it would occur; and why it would occur! Most Jews, however, did not believe Him. They expected a physical kingdom and not a spiritual kingdom.

Those who advocate for a physical “thousand year” millennial kingdom for Israel in the future are offering exactly what Christ rejected. The Jews looked for a physical kingdom, but Christ said “NO” to that idea. His kingdom is NOT of THIS WORLD or a physical kingdom of the nation of Israel. It is a spiritual kingdom, which is within each of His born-again believers, who are the true Jews in Gods plans. This was fulfilled in 70ad with the full establishment of His New Covanent spiritual kingdom.

Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is NOT OF THIS WORLD. If My kingdom were of the world, my servant’s world fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is NOT FROM HERE.'” -John 18:36

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, ‘The kingdom of God does not come with OBSERVATION; now will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed the kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU.”-Luke 17:20-21.

Jesus did not have to prophesy to HIs disciples about His first coming because He was already there with them. He ministered for three and one-half years in their presence. He fulfilled all of the previous Old Testament prophecies about His first coming. He was crucified, dead and buried in their presence. He then was resurrected and appeared to them and many others to show He was alive and had defeated death. – Acts 13:30-31.

Then He said to them, “These are the words which were spoke to you while I was still with you, that ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” – Luke 24:44

So Jesus taught that ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Him. This referred to the Old Testament Scriptures and His coming as Messiah to the Jews. Jesus and His disciples would proclaim the gospel, which would be a light to the Jews and also to the Gentiles. All of these things were fulfilled at His first coming in 26-30 ad. – John 19:29; Luke 2:32; and Acts 13:47.

But THOSE THINGS which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, HE HAS FULFILLED.” -Acts 3:18

Now when they had FULFILLED ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN CONCERNING HIM, they took Him down form the tree and laid Him in a tomb.”- Acts 13:29

Therefore, having obtained help from God to this day I (Paul) stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come– that the CHRIST WOULD SUFFER, that would be the first to RISE FROM THE DEAD, and would PROCLAIM LIGHT to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.” -Acts 26:22-23
